Laser Scanners can observe millions of measurements in just a few minutes this produces in effect a 3D image of the targeted area made up of millions of individual pixels or points.
The laser scan data collected can then be easily queried to determine measurements, coordinates or rendered into a full 3D model representation of the original area.
